6cyl 12v and auto?
Not a very good combination, thats why Renault upgraded to 24v and 194 brake, still not enough for a 3L, hence the Lag 2 phase 1 and 210brake...a lot better but massively heavier
Same engine 3L V6 24V for the Clio V6 and they got 255bhp out of it
I wish they've done the same with the Laguna

In the first place, whe have a wizard off electronics. FASTchip. I had many discussions on the 21 boards and most off the time people take me for a fool. Untill the time i came up with prove.
1: with standard managment go above (way above) 300 bhp out off a 2.0l
2: with standard managment AND standard internals go above 300 bhp out off a 2.0 l !!!
3: convince people that the std managment can do the same thing as a stand alone.
Another legend is Jean Paul Borremans, this person developed engines for RENAULT FRANCE. Specified: clio RS cup
He's also head marchal for the FIA, and engineer. He does the controles on the engine's before the start (Park Fermee)
He put 267 bhp out off a N/A cup clio. Renault FRANCE came no further than 245.

if he can get 250BHP from my V6 i'd be a happy lad, i think everyone with a V6 would be! lol
Does anyone know what makes the Clio V6 more powerful? Is it just mapping or different internals?

amazing stuff!! i just wish there was more parts available for tuning the V6's.
My mate asked me to look into ways to get more power from his fiesta ST, so, its 150BHP standard and there are SOOOO many things you can do to it!!
There are supercharger kits (increase to 250BHP),
Turbo Kits (up to 300BHP)
Simple throttle body conversion (210BHP+)!!
There are so many parts for that engine its unreal!!!
Think we should all quit our jobs and design and manufacture kits for Reno engines, we'd be bl00dy rich!!!

that depends on what effort people want to do. If you're car aint you're daily, then take the engine out. Balance the whole thing, do some headwork on the inletside (porting). Put it back togheter, go on the dyno and remap it.
Build a turbo conversion, or charger conversion. There are enough options, but it all depends on how far you wanna go.
for most off the guy's a remap will be the best option.
