think my front right shocky is on its way out makes a bit of a knock noise on bumpy roads
had all the ball joints and stuff renew at mot time which was over a month ago
any help in finding out if it is that before a go and buy one and find out it wasnt
any idea off prices aswell
just on the off chance any one want to fit it aswell

Yep, ideal opertunity to get some upgraded ones and replace both sides, they are farley easey to change, just jack up to a hight where the shock is extended and undo the bolts and replace with new one and do up the bolts, i think

I had the same clonking noise just before i upgraded my suspension, when i had the suspension in bits i noticed the top mount was looser than jodie marshes knicker elastic,
renault do the mount for around £45
|

Hayley paid around £30 for top strut mount from GSF a while back. Cured the pulling to left on take off/hard acceleration and quietened things down.

mmmmmmmmmmmm it could be the top mount but ad have to take the shocky off to find that out tho

The usual sign of the strut top mount being goosed is a little pile of rubber pieces lying around beside the top bolt.
I too thought my strut top was goosed on my old Lag, but it turned out to be the engine mounting rattling.
I just supported the engine, removed the top part of the o/s/f mounting, greased everything and put it all back together again. Quiet
