for any of you who don't watch Top Gear, Renault F1 cars have made a couple of appearances on the programme during the current series. Here's a couple of clips I found on the net .....

the first shows the car setting the fastest ever time round the Top Gear track of 59 seconds! Bear in mind the fastest road car time to date (Ascari A10) is 1 minute 17 it puts the performance of the car into perspective.

the second clip, Richard Hammond after driving the 300+mph dragster (ok, he crashed it but it wasn't his fault...) makes the mistake of saying "How hard can it be...?"

and finally, the Renault F1 engine playing the national anthem
